They built the Wexford in 1880 in England. It was a trans-Atlantic cargo ship for fifteen years running between Great Britain and Brazil. When it arrived in the Great lakes it was used as a Grain ship running between Thunder Bay and Sarnia. It went down in a storm in 1913 in Lake Huron, somewhere between Tobermoray and Sarnia. The crew of 25 was lost. For ninety years nobody knew where it was. It was discovered in 2000, sitting upright in 80 feet of water, seven kilometres off Grand Bend.
